I have been working on a project about hoarding since 2011. I photograph the houses of people who have difficulty in throwing things away. Their objects help them feel safe, they take their time, they require their care and are there for them. However, they also make their lives difficult, sometimes forcing them out of their own homes, suffocating them with their never ending expansion. Below a selection of pictures from this ongoing project.

En el 2011 comencé mi investigación visual acerca de la acumulación compulsiva. Fotografío desde entonces las casas de personas que sufren de una condición psicológica que les imposibilita el tirar y deshacerse de objetos. Las cosas les dan seguridad, requieren de su tiempo y están ahí, firmes, junto al acumulador. Sin embargo, toda esta seguridad se contrapone a una dificultad muy grande de vivir bien. Los objetos a veces los desalojan de sus propias casas, sofocándolos con una expansión que nunca termina. A continuación, una pequeña selección de las fotos de este proyecto en construcción.
