Possible Letters<\/em> is an approach to my own family archive of correspondence between my father and his family during the nearly six years (1976-1981) in which he was imprisoned during the last Argentine military dictatorship. From the prisons of Devoto, La Plata and Rawson (Chubut) my father sent and received numerous letters, of which more than two hundred remain. In order to be able to think about how to work with them, I decided to organize the material by summing up the content. That list which started as a sketch of the future project, finally became the work itself. A careful map that tries to organize data, procedures, sensations and all the missing moments within the life of a young man. If a family is a constellation, this work aims to be, then, one of the many possible photos facing that immensity.

Possible letters<\/em> was part of the exhibition “In full light of day – Crossroads of presents at the Haroldo Conti Cultural Center of Memory” during 2021. This exhibition was the culmination of an art clinic and scholarship thanks to FNA – CONTI Training Program and Production in Arts, Human Rights and Memories by tutors and artists Karina Granieri and Julia Masvernat.

Las cartas posibles<\/em> es un acercamiento al archivo familiar de correspondencia entre mi pap\u00e1 y su familia durante los casi seis a\u00f1os (1976-1981) en los que \u00e9l estuvo preso durante la \u00faltima dictadura militar argentina. Desde las c\u00e1rceles de Devoto, La Plata y Rawson (Chubut) mi pap\u00e1 envi\u00f3 y recibi\u00f3 numerosas cartas, de las cuales se conservan m\u00e1s de doscientas. Para poder pensar una obra con ellas me propuse organizar y relevar el material (cartas y algunas pocas fotograf\u00edas). Ese listado se convirti\u00f3, finalmente, en la obra. Un mapa cuidadoso que intenta ordenar datos, tr\u00e1mites, sensaciones y faltas. Si una familia es una constelaci\u00f3n esta obra pretende ser, entonces, una de las tantas fotos posibles ante esa inmensidad.

Las cartas posibles<\/em> form\u00f3 parte de la exhibici\u00f3n A plena luz del d\u00eda – Encrucijada de presentes<\/em> en el Centro Cultural de la Memoria Harold Conti<\/a> durante el 2021. Esta muestra fue el proceso de trabajo de la cl\u00ednica de arte y beca FNA – CONTI Programa de Capacitaci\u00f3n y Producci\u00f3n en Artes, Derechos Humanos y Memorias a cargo de Karina Granieri y Julia Masvernat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
